Wooden Wine Rack Metal Vs. Wooden Wine Rack?

Metal vs. wooden wine rack? - wooden wine rack

Anyone who thinks what is best for storing wine? At the moment I have a wine cooler EuroCave (http://www.vintagecellars.com/category_sub.asp?prodcategoryID=94), but I am looking for a simple, easy access to the rack of wine in my lounge.

  1. I think a metal wine rack is very tasteful. They are so ... Gothic. They remind me of Edgar Allan Poe, Im not sure why. Probably something with The Cask of Amontillado (Hope you do not read or you do not know what I mean). Referring to the heat ... Come on. The amount of heat to the outside world should be very insignificant, or why they would even metal wine racks? Of course, you must not put forward an oven or something. Metal, for sure.

  2. Metal conducts heat, no wood. And since the storage of wine in hot weather is bad, I usually opt for wood. I think if it was a warm, but cooled off in the night, metal wine rack wine will stay warm longer. Just a thought.

  4. Wood, because you are not a danger of a "warming" or conducting heat and air better.
